More Nas X SXSW (Brings Out A.Z.)

Back in the days Nas would come to the House Of Blues-New Orleans. I remember it was like a scene from "Paid in Full" movie. All the gangsters would come out from all over the city. They'd have on all their ice and fly gear. All of the hip hop heads would be in there. Nas would put on an amazing show, always setting it off with "Ether." I even remember the time when he had squashed the beef with Jay and the crowd wanted to hear "Ether," but he refused to perform it. We forced it out  of him though. It was too funny. Nas would be adorned with his huge QB chain and an iced out watch. He usually just wears a shirt and jeans, real Queens-Bridge-ish, and always has that boyish good look on his face. His shows were the livest. It's good to see him back performing.

I like the message in this song. People often times like the gratification of sex. To me sex without love is just sex and it isn't better than LOVE. This brings me to a Biblical stand point. New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Peyton Suspended

The NFL's Commissioner Roger Godell has decided to penalize the New Orleans Saints for "Bounty" system that supposedly targeted opposing players. Players were supposedly PAID to injure players on opposing teams. #ThatshitCRAY

Saints Coach Sean Peyton has been suspended without pay for the 2012 season. Former Saints Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams is banned from the league indefinitely. Godell has also suspended Saints GM Micky Lumas for the first 8 regular season games and Assistant Coach Joe Vitt has to sit out the first 6 games. The Saints were fined 500k and they have to forfeit second rounds draft picks for the next couple years. WOW. What a punishment. I know my New Orleans Saints fans are enraged about all of this. I'm speechless.

Lil Kim Does B.E.T.'s Rip the Runway

Last night I was on my way home from Bible Study and my Twitter timeline suddenly erupted with tweets about aged Rapper Lil Kim. I was like what is going on? Apparently, Lil Kim was on television performing on B.E.T.'s Rip the Runway. Of course, there was alot of shade from Nicki Minaj fans, but then there were alot of people who supported her as well. Let me just say this. Kim and Nicki are two totally different animals. The two should not even be compared anymore. Nicki has evolved into something that Lil Kim may have been trying to before, but was never able to get there. Kim will always be one of the best female RAPPERS, but Nicki took it beyond rap. Two of my favorite rappers form the SIP (Mississippi) team up for  ladies joint. David Banner and Big K.R.I.T. asks "Do you believe in LOVE?" Yes, I DO! LOL and I love this song! Although it seems as if they are rapping about their home, the chorus just makes me want to LOVE SOMEBODY.

DMX and Wife Tashera Simmons Do "Couples Therapy"

Ladies, we love our Mr. WRONG! LOL...I am ashamed to admit that, but it's so TRUE. Take DMX's wife Tashera Simmons for instance, no matter what, she'll ride for DMX. The two met in their child hood. They now have four kids together and they are still tight. The couple did a reality show on VH-1 called, "Couple's Therapy." DMX has constantly cheated on her, he's abused alcohol and drugs and he's done time in jail. Tashera has still been there for him.

Last night, I watched the reality show and let me just say this, some of the things DMX said to her and the way he treated her, definitely would have forced me to leave him alone. I am seriously amazed after watching that show how this woman can still say good things about him. (Mind you DMX has had like 8 or 10 kids OUTSIDE of their marriage) This is real LOVE and LOYALTY.

Tyga Gets into with Fans/Tour Bus Shot Up

Rapper Tyga from YMCMB was on tour last night in Omaha, Nebraska. He apparently got into a verbal altercation with fans. It led to a fight and after the concert, his tour bus was shot up. 2 of his artists were hit. One of them, a upcoming female rapper Honey Cocaine was shot. She tweeted about the incident.

2 Chains is all over the rap industry right now. He's doing more features than a little. Nicki Minaj's new joint "Beez in the Trap," takes me back to old school hip hop with the beat bopping beat. It's a little too slow for me, but I'm sure with all of her Barbies, this will be an instant HIT.


Nicki Minaj also set down for a recent interview in Complex Magazine for their 10th year Anniversary. Nicki gives a little bit of advice to up and coming musicians. She dropped another song featuring Chris Brown "Right by My Side"

Rapper Nas was among the many BIG named rappers that appeared at SXSW this year. Nas showed loved to New Orleans Rapper Dee-1 while at the festival. Nas not only acknowledged Dee-1, but he also pulled him up on stage. He made Dee-1's experience a tad bit better, because he's Dee's favorite rapper.
