R.I.P. Don Cornelius

The Soul Train Guru Don Cornelius who helped break racial barriers with his hit television show was found dead from a gunshot wound in a apparent suicide at 4 am this morning. He was 75 years old.

Good friends Quincy Jones and Rev. Al Sharpton have released statements of shock about their friends death. Don was responsible for introducing the world to big acts such as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Barry White. He also introduced the world to several dancers that went on from Soul Train into various other areas in the Hollywood industry. Don not only was the host of the show, but he was also executive producer.

Don was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 1995. He also has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Monday Spotlight: Prophetess Tera Carissa Hodges

About a month ago my Pastor Maize Warren Jr. of the Spirit and Truth Family Worship Center spoke this woman's name and something told me to got look her up. After that, I watched some of her youtube videos. She was later featured on S&T's Truth Connection Call and her word was so powerful, I had to follow her on Twitter. After following her and seeing her uplifting and informative tweets, I went further and found her website. The more and more I heard of her, I wanted to know more about her. After reading her bio on her site, I discovered she is a Prophetess, a published author and a professional. I went further and watched more of her videos. In total amazement at the success, the strength, the courage, the profound word this woman has and she's around my age, I could not wait until she came to our's Women's Revival, so I could meet her.

Prophetess Hodges spoke this past Sunday at Spirit and Truth's 10am and 11 am service. I hadn't planned on going to both services, but she had to rush to our West location for the 11am service, so I didn't get  chance to meet her after the 10 am service. I went to brunch with my girls, but something in my spirit was saying, go to the Westbank to get an opportunity to meet this Woman of God. So I left my girls early and headed to the West location. Tera was very humble and nice. She's a little thing, with a word so powerful. Not only does she have a word, but her prophetic anointing is immaculate. It amazed me how so in tune with the audience and so on point she was with the issues of the people in the room that day. While she is already making BIG moves and HUGE connections. I know that God is getting ready to take her to a level she's never been before. I am so excited about her future and I don't even know her that well. I can only wish to work with her in the future in some kind of way.

YMCMB Rapper Corey Gunz Arrested on Gun Charges

Young Money Rapper Corey Gunz was arrested on gun charges in his home town the Bronx. His father Peter Gunz released a statement to MTV. Apparently, the young rapper had a loaded gun in his knapsack. He tweeted an apology to his fans and also let them know when he got out of jail.
