End of the Year Encouragement...From Me to YOU!

Hey world!!! It's your girl Lyiena and I'm here to encourage you on your journey. A year is ending and a new year is approaching, but you're still here!! That alone should make you smile. :) There are so many that didn't make it this far and won't make it to the new year. We lost some greats this year, but we're still standing. We still have life and breath. BE THANKFUL! You are able to keep going. You are able to keep pushing toward your goals, your desires, your dreams and your promises!
Sure, this year had has it's ups and downs. Some of us has lost loved ones. Some of us have had people walk out on us that we'd NEVER though would leave us. Some of us has lost jobs. Some of us have been lonely all year long. Some of us have lost HOPE. Some of us have had to LEAVE some people behind. I want to encourage you, SO WHAT!! So what you lost this, so what you lost that. You didn't lose YOU! You have your MIND! You have your sanity! You have breath, the activity of your limbs. You can move! So you can keep GOING! You can keep LIVING! I believe it was Drake that said, "Everybody dies, but not everybody LIVES!" What are you waiting for? Why are you feeling sorry for yourself? Somebody has had it worse than you! Why aren't you LIVING!???
Webstar Dictionary describes life as "the quality to distinguish a vital and functioning being from a dead body. 2. The sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existance of an individual. Again I ask WHY AREN'T YOU LIVING!?
I realize that we all go through the same things. We all have faults, short comings. We all go through pain. But the difference in me and other people that go through is I realize that it is NOT OVER. This is not the end. The race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but to he who ENDURES! That set back was a set up for a come back! Sometimes you have to die on the inside in order to LIVE! Sometimes you have to experience the death of a loved one for you to experience LIFE. Sometimes people have to walk out on you in order for you to realize your GOD given potential. They had to leave you so you can see that you didn't NEED them in the first place!
We've lost some people this year.. R.I.P. Magnolia SHorty, Messy Mya, Teena Marie and Mr. Harvey, BUT WE are still here. we have the opportunity to reevaluate our lives and come with a new game plan. We have the opportunity to LIVE AGAIN!
So on tonight I want to encourage all of you, no matter what you been through, your future is far greater than your past. You have to go through to GET TO! Keep going, keep pushing, keep praying! You're a WINNER.....A CHAMPION!
(((hugs to you all))) along with a song...check it out below....
R&B Singer: Teena Marie Dies at 54

According to the Cash Money Records CEO Birdman and CNN, R&B Singer Teena Marie has died at age 54. Apparently she had suffered from a stroke a month ago. Her daughter found her dead in her home today. Radio stations all over are reporting it as well as other celebrities on Twitter.com.
Teena Marie was signed to Motown Records in the early 80's releasing hits like "Square Biz," "Lovergirl," and "Fire and Desire" with her mentor Rick James. (r.i.p.) She was definately a New Orleans household favorite often doing shows here and eventually signing to Birdman and Slim's "Cash Money Records." Teena Marie was the White Girl that sang Black. All of her songs were easy to relate to, rock to and vibe to when in the mood. Some of her other hits were "Oh, La, La, LA," 'If I Were a Bell," "Casanova Brown," and "Portugese Love." Some of my personal favorites were "Out on a Limb" and "Wishing on a Star."
Teena Marie's music is timeless. It has lived on for generations and even in her death will continue to live on. She was definately a jewel. An awesome Singer and Performer Teena rocked shows all over the world. She will truly be missed. Prayers go out the her family and the entire Cash Money camp for they are dealing with 2 loses this week. Another artist of theirs, Magnolia Shorty passed last Sunday.
