After I saw Mack Maine tweeting that he was riding through Hollygrove and Toya tweeting that she had an event at her "Garb Boutique" this weekend, plus Baby's Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway in New Orleans was this week, I knew Lil Wayne just had to be somewhere in the area. And yes he was! Weezy popped up at radio station Q93's Bayou Classic Fan Fest for a surprise performance! This is his 2nd performance since his release from Riker's Island and his very 1st performance at Bayou Classic! Go Weezy Baby!!

Arrests: Saints Player Will Smith

One of the Saints Defensive players, Will Smith was arrested early Saturday morning on domestic abuse charges. He was released on $1000 bond. According to http://nola.com/ Smith and his wife were seen arguing outside of a Lafayette Nightclub by police officers. Smith began pulling his wife by her hair. Earlier today, his wife tweeted that it was all a huge misunderstanding and encouraged "WHO DAT" fans to continue to support them in this troubled time. She also tweeted that she loved her husband. Smith is married to Raquel Smith. His websaite says they wed in New Orleans in November 2008 and they have 3 kids. Smith resides in Kenner, Louisiana.

Cash Money Turkey Giveaway

Every year Birdman and Slim Cash Money Records C.E.O.'s come back to their home town New Orleans for and Annual Turkey Giveaway. They post up at Shakespear Park in Uptown New Orleans near the Magnolia Housing Projects where they grew up and give out bags of foods to hundreds of needy people in that neighborhood.

Birdman, Slim, Mack Maine, T. Streets, Gudda Gudda, Reginea Carter, as well as Congrassman Cedric Richmond amongst others can be seen at the giveaway.

So if you didn't know alot of Nicki Minaj's physical appearance from the colorful wigs to the "Barbie" style was first brought to entertainment by Rapper Lil Kim. Lil Kim first hit the scene with Notorious B.I.G.'s group "Junior Mafia" in 1996. Her first album was entitled "Hardcore." While Nicki Mianj credits Lil Kim and admitted that she was a fan of hers, Lil Kim just doesn't feel as if Nicki Minaj paid homage to her being that she's from an older generation of female rap. Nicki Minaj constantly spits how she is the best and other females M.C.'s can hang it up. This type of talk offended Lil Kim so she amoung with friends like Ray J and underground rapper Keys as well as Rapper Remy Ma spoke on it. In Nicki's new song "Roman's Revenge," it seems as if Nicki is taking several personal jabs at Lil Kim who is from Brooklyn.

With Nicki spitting lyrics like "Fuck I look like getting back to a has been?/ Yeah I said it, has beeen/ hang it up/flatscreen/" and "Nicki she just mad cause you took the spot/ Well bitch if you ain't shitting, then get off the pot/ I got some ni**as out in Brooklyn that'll off your top." Lil Kim was bound to come back with a diss track!


In the track below, Lil Kim throws jabs at Nicki and her Young Money counterpart Drake with lines like:

"This the ish you and Drake ain't built for/This the ish the other bitch almost got kilt for."

The other b*tch of course if Rapper Foxy Brown who had beef with Lil Kim back when both the ladies were in their prime in the rap game.

In this heart felt video Rapper Kanye West thanks his fans for buying his album and continuing to support his music. Kanye West is a talented rapper and producer. His music is magical. I support his movement 100 % and I supported him since his first album "College Drop Out." I stood behind him when he made the comment after Hurricane Katrina "Bush don't like BLack people!" As it shows, I am not the only one standing behind him. Kanye tops the charts, beating Nicki Minaj, and Ne-yo amoung others who dropped this week.

New Video: Messy Mya Re-pass/DJ

In New Orleans, when a person dies, we celebrate the persons life by having sort of an after party. Funerals are followed by second line bands that parade around the city as the hurst follows. Then the family has a re-pass. This is where all the family gets together and congregate in memory of the deceased person. Messy Mya's family also had a band at the re-pass. They second-lined in his memory with just the family. Then they all went over to Ponchatrain Parc where his friends and fans had already started to party. The dj blared New Orleans bounce hits and the Messy Hoes cut up in Messy Mya's memory. Pics and video below.



A little footage of some Messy Hoes "BOOKING" a guy outside of Messy Mya's funeral. This just lets us know that Anthony "Coo" Barre's spirit lives on in all of us. Cause when we book, we book everybody!!!!
