Carmello Anthony & Lala Wedding Tonight!
So, the other day was not the actual wedding. It was the dinner party with the 2 familes and guests. Tonight is the official wedding date.With many of the best of this year's free agents gone to other NBA teams, the Knicks and the Nets can start working tonight on next year's biggest prize, Carmelo Anthony, at his wedding at Cipriani 42nd Street. The Denver Nugget star is marrying Brooklyn-born LaLa Vasquez, of MTV fame, the mother of their 3-year-old son, Kiyan. Knick fans among the guests will have to stifle their disappointment and rage at LeBron James, who's shunning his new home, Miami, to attend. The couple had a celebrity filled boat party last night and on Wednesday a dinner party with the two families. Several basketball players and other atheletes along with rappers and reality show stars alike are expected to attend. Hornet's player, Chris Paul tweeted on Twitter.com that he was flying out to New York for the wedding also.
Congrats Lala on becoming a Basketball Wife!!! Get it girl! lol ;)

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight.
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….

Researchers have discovered antibodies that can protect against a wide range of AIDS viruses and said they may be able to use them to design a vaccine against the fatal and incurable virus.

The bodies of some people make these immune system proteins after they are infected with the AIDS virus, when it is too late for them to do much good. But a properly designed vaccine might help the body make them much sooner, the researchers reported in Friday's issue of the journal Science.
Two of the antibodies can attach to and neutralize 90 percent of the various mutations of the human immunodeficiency virus that causes AIDS, Nabel said.
"This is an antibody that evolved after the fact. That is part of the problem we have in dealing with HIV -- once a person becomes infected, the virus always gets ahead of the immune system," Nabel said.
"What we are trying to do with a vaccine is get ahead of the virus."
AIDS infects about 33 million people globally, according to the United Nations AIDS agency UNAIDS. It has killed 25 million people since the pandemic began in the early 1980s and there is no vaccine or cure, although drugs can help control it.
The virus is diifcult to fight in part because it attacks immune system cells and in part because it mutates constantly, making it a moving target for drugs or the immune system.
It has been almost impossible to make a vaccine that will affect the virus. Last September, researchers reported their biggest success yet with a vaccine that appeared to slow the rate of infection by about 30 percent in Thai volunteers but the trial raised many questions.
MOVING TARGETS
Researchers have been looking for parts of the virus that do not mutate so they can design vaccines that will protect against these constantly changing versions.
Nabel's team found two of the antibodies in the blood of a patient infected with HIV who had not become ill despite the infection. Such people are called non-progressors and researchers study their immune systems to find out why they control the virus better than most patients.
They then found the immune system cells called B-cells that made these particular antibodies, using a new molecular device that they invented.
In yet another experiment, they managed to freeze one of the antibodies in the process of attaching to and neutralizing the virus, getting an atomic-level image in a process called x-ray crystallography.
Being able to "see" what the structure looks like could enable researchers to design a vaccine using a process called rational vaccine design, akin to an established technique for making drugs called rational drug design, Nabel said.
It may also be possible to design gene therapy to help patients make these antibodies themselves, or use an older technique that transfuses the antibodies directly.
One of the antibodies, called VRC01, partially mimics the way an immune cell called a CD4 T-cell attaches to a piece of the AIDS virus called gp120, the researchers said.
"The antibodies attach to a virtually unchanging part of the virus, and this explains why they can neutralize such an extraordinary range of HIV strains," Dr. John Mascola, who worked on the study, said in a statement.
"The discovery of these exceptionally broadly neutralizing antibodies to HIV and the structural analysis that explains how they work are exciting advances that will accelerate our efforts to find a preventive HIV vaccine for global use," NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci added in a statement.
"In addition, the technique the teams used to find the new antibodies represents a novel strategy that could be applied to vaccine design for many other infectious diseases."

Lebron's Empire State of Mind????
Today is the day that Lebron James will announce which team the free agent is going to. According to a few of the celeb tweeters, Lebron will most likely be announcing that he's going to be palying in NEW YORK!!!!! Knicks or maybe even the Nets who will be moving to Brooklyn soon. Lebron has said that he wants to be the first billionaire athelete. Forbes.com shows that the only way he'll make it there is if he's playing in New York.

Alicia Keys Falls at Essence
The pregnant Alicia Keys is still doing performances, which may or may not be safe for the baby. She wild out on the B.E.T. awards by getting on top of the piano in her performance and now at The Essence Music Festival, she falls down. Ain't No D.J. like a N.O. D.J.!!?
After carefully viewing the Twitter.com timelines and attending of few of the celebrities parties, it's safe to say, "Ain't no D.J. like a New Orleans D.J." I have rocked out in several different cities. I've been to Diddy parties with D.J. ProStyle and D.J. Stevie J. I've been to parties with celebrity d.j.'s like D.J. Clue, Biz Markie, Kid Capri, Mannie Fresh, Funk Master Flex, Fat Man Screw, Solange and M.C. Lyte. I have been to hood clubs, upscale venues, sports bars etc. No matter where I've been, there has never been a party that could top a party that entailed a New Orleans D.J. New Orleans D.J.'s (if they're good) can bring forth a host of different types of music ultimately rocking a club, although it's been questioned if they can "BREAK RECORDS."
Who are the New Orleans D.J.'s??? Let's see, threw a poll the front runners are D.J. Capt. Charles whose been around since I was a kid. He can rock a party for me or my mama and they'd both be a smash hit. Then there's D.J. Raj Smooth. Raj blew up the spot with the Psycho Ward movement after being a successful D.J. at Dillard University and working with Rap Phenom Lil Wayne. Then you have D.J. Jubilee who rocked the cities parties and event in the 90's with his dance bounce hits. There's Go-DJ Black n Mild, who started the Go-DJ movement which consists of various dj's from all over the country. You have E.F. Cuttin who got his reign as KING of the Hookah Cafe. He's known to spark up a party. You have D.J. Hollaback who got his reign at the H.O.B. D.J. Money Fresh who holds it down every weekend at the "Duck Off." He can run a beat like no other. You have D.J. Chicken from radio station 102.9. D.J. Bombshell Boogie of 102.9, the only female in the front runners, hit the underground scene playing nothing but "good music" hence, getting her to where she is today. D.J. Big Cheeze, D.J. Hektik, D.J. Dirty Red and D.J. Spin are also in this number.
You also have The D.J. Organizations. There's the Psycho Ward D.J.'s, the GoDJ's and the Definition D.J.'s. It's really good to be a part of an organization because when the organization's leader can't do a show, you can have work assigned to you. There are also meetings, events and trips that the groups are involved in.
WHO'S THE BEST???????
I performed a poll on Twitter.com and Facebook.com amongst my friends to see who they preferred the best. So naturally this wouldn't actually confirm that the D.J. is per say, "the best," but it would let us know who "the people" prefer the best. So, who do the people prefer????? Well, the polls show Raj Smooth, Capt. Charles, E.F. Cuttin and Black n Mild are the most preferred d.j.'s in the city and not in that order.

The people are tired of out of out of town D.J.'s getting the gigs for big events when you have really great D.J.'s right here in New Orleans that can rock a party and give all the out of towners a sense of their home towns and "OURS" as well. The people at home don't wanna fell like they're in a New York or and ATL party. We are the only ones that can PROMOTE US and OUR MUSIC! The celeb D.J.'s cannot rock a party like our D.J.'s can. So PROMOTERS TO YOU...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BOOK YOUR OWN, BEFORE LETTING THE CELEBS RAPE YOU AND GIVING US A WACK PARTY!
