My Performance with Jay-Z-Uncut

"What Really Happened"

I've heard several stories of what happened the night that I was blessed to grace the stage with Jay-Z. A certain radio personality seems to think that Jay-Z just repeated the same show as he did in 2004, but she didn't attend the concert this time. That story isn't true. This concert was nothing like the one in 2004, although in 2004 I did grace the stage with him. I've also heard that I was part of the act and I know Jay-Z, that the whole thing was planned before hand. This is also NOT TRUE.

It is simple as this. A Jay-Z fan follows him, his concerts, his interviews, his music. I follow Jay-Z. I am a huge fan. When I heard that he was coming to New Orleans way back in November, I phoned my big brother, who has lots of cash to blow and told him to buy the whole front row!!! Unfortunately, when we went online to order, the closet tickets they had available were 4th row seats in which we gladly copped 11 tickets. I then called 3 other avid Jay-
Z listeners and let them know that I had tickets if they wanted to go they could. I would never go to a Jay-Z concert without other Jay-Z fans around me..lol.

I, my little sister Shawniece, her bestie Adrione and my sister in law Deeshon waited on tip toe anticipation for February 25, 2010. We constantly tweeted along with others how we couldn't wait till that date. We had it all planned out. We would wear all black everything as Jay-Z once spewed in one of his songs. We would put our Jay-Z play list on repeat a week before the concert. We would not be LATE..lol. I had found a pretty black power shoulder dress in which I got creative and added gems to the shoulders. I was ready to see my favorite M.C. once more.

I did not know that I would get up on stage again, altough I was hoping I would. At the last tour with Mary J. Blidge the set up was much different than when I performed in 2004 and I didn't get to perform that time. In 2004 it was much easier and we were front row. Jay-Z just politely pulled me up. This time we were 4 rows back, but the rows in front of us were not really filled, which still gave us the perfect stage view.

We jammed a little with Trey Songz, but when Jay-Z came out Adrione and I jumped on our chairs throwing the ROC sign in the air. We quickly got down, because we were blocking Juicy and Leon who was seated behind us...lol. That didn't stop Jay-Z from noticing us though. As he kicked lyric for lyric, all 4 of us rapped right along with him. He felt our energy and constantly returned to stand right in front of us as he rapped and we rapped along with him. He then left and Young Jeezy came out and did his thing. Although I hardly knew a Jeezy lyric, even he was feeling us. When Jay-Z came back he spit songs like "Minority Report" in which da song is about New Orleans but alot of people slept on that album, so only my crew was screaming the words. He heard us and gave us a quick smile.

At the ending of the show he began doing his crowd shout outs. He did the right and left sides, the front row and up top. Then he came to the middle by us. He immediately gave us a shout out. As we conversed back and forth I said, "I wanna do a song with you." He then said, "Come on up, we got 2 minutes." I then climbed over those chairs with the assistance of the other fans and security guards and got up on the speaker. There was a grate like flooring on the stage and I was afraid to step on it with my heels on. Jay-Z who is a sure PRO instructed me to get on my tip toes and he grabbed my hand assisting me up. He was such a gentleman, although I love and respect Beyonce, I now envy her!! lol

Jay-Z then instructed me on where to stand and what part to say. The beat dropped and the rest is HISTORY!!!!

BLUEPRINT 3 TOUR-New Orleans

"It's No Biggie....He's Just the KING Now!"

On February 25th, 2010 rapper Jay-Z brought his BLUEPRINT 3 TOUR to New Orleans, LA. Performing along with guests Trey Songz and Young Jeezy, Jay-Z made it a night to remember. Trey Songz wowed the ladies with succulant love songs. He pulled a young lady from the audience, poured her a glass of Ace of Spade champagne, instructed her to "Say Ahh" and poured a little in her mouth, before going into his hit single "Say Ahh." Trey also showed his wash board abs during the song "Neighbors Know My Name" and had the ladies screaming their lungs out.

The night had just got started when Trey Songs finished, a crew quickly assembled the stage for an arrival like no other. Rapper Jay-Z ascended from a pile of steps wearing dark black shades and all black everything. The crowd went bananas!

Jay-Z vibed with the audience spewing hits from his BP3 album along with a few feature songs like Rihanna's "Hard" and Snoop Dog's new single "I Wanna Rock." He then went into a song that featured rapper Young Jeezy and Young Jeezy came out to a loud uproar. Young Jeezy surely had brought out the "hood." Guys began bum rushing to the front to get a closer look and even standing on chairs. Young Jeezy held it down for the streets with hits like "Who Dat," and Crazy World. "He set the tone for the night when he performed "I Put On for my City" and "My President is Black."Jeezy told the crowd how he had mad love for New Orleans and he gave a quick shout ot to the New Orleans Saints on their Super Bowl victory. When he finished Jay-Z returned to the stage with his comglomerate Memphis Bleek. They went on to perform several of Jay-Z "radio" hit singles in which a boastful Jay-Z said, "I got alot of those." He truly does and could have went on all night, but he wanted the crowd to get louder. "We have a 1hr and 30 min set and a 2hr set. Depending on how loud you are, that's the set you get." The crowd went crazy again!!!

Jay-Z graced the audience with "Excuse Me Miss," while instructing them to move side to side. He also did "Jigga What, Jigga Who" in which the left and right sides battled who could get the loudest. Being very in tune with his fans, he began to close the show with a few crowd shout outs. He started on the right side. He joked with a guy in the audience "I don't know what you got going on over there, but I see you." He then went to the left where a young woman whom he asked her name and she told him Ashley was on the front row. She was fanning herself and falling all over the seats. He said, "Shout out to her, man she been doing that all night." Another young woman, who was a bit higher up was endowed in an orange and white outfit. He told her, "Ma, I see you up there, you got a lil tie die type of thing going on." The whole crowd started laughing, because as he spoke to the fans, they were posted on the big screen. He then told the young lady, "They laughing, but I like it." lol. Jay-Z then shouted out the folks way up at the top. Lastly he came to the middle where there were these 4 girls on the 4th row. He told them, "You 4 girls, I never seen girls KNOW ALL THE WORDS TO MY SONGS." He conversed back and forth with them, gestering for one of them to come on up stage.

Out of no where came a long hair thick red bone wearing 4 inch black heels and a strong shoulder mini dress, climbing over chairs to get on stage with him. He kindly assisted her up and instructed her who was already very confidant on what to do. The young lady spewed lines from his song entitled, "Song Cry," in which she changed the lines around to say, "Not with Beyonce, he was with me!" The crowd went bananas when she said that line, which left Jay-Z speechless. Once the time was up, he gave her a big hug and went on to the next set. Jay-Z closed the show with "Encore" in which his fans stood in awe screaming, "HOVA, HOVA, HOVA!"
