Keyshia Cole has officially released a statement in response to her sister Elite's cry to the media about her not buying her nieces and nephews any Christmas gifts. CHILLLD Keyshia is tired of the foolishness and I feel her 100%! Sometimes you have to just let it GO!! Here's the statement that was released:

"To all my friends and fans,
It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies."

As the 30 day fitness challange continues, you should already be doing 1 hour of workout per day and eating moderately. Today starts the diet change. Since you've decreased your food intake already, it should be easy to switch over into a healthier diet. 2 words, GO VEGAN!!! I have found that the vegan diet causes me to lose the most weight. So all this week continue your 1 hr work outs per day and only eat veggies!! I found it easy to go to Subway and get a Veggie Delight sandwhich on wheat bread for lunch. You can eat oats for breakfast and a salad for dinner. You are sure to be a few sizes smaller at the end of this challange!! Remember WATER, WATER, WATER is the drink this month, nothing else!! Keep shedding those pounds ladies!!! ;-)

DIY BANGS!!!! That's right ladies, do it yourself bangs!!! In the pic to the left, you see myself and @kaceirene at a wedding sporting our lovely DIY BANGS!!! Whether you like to wear your bangs blunt or side swept, it is important that you cut them so that no loose hairs are hanging beneath. You also want to make sure that they aren't too thin. I find adding a little piece of REMY to mines does the trick! How ever you decide to wear your bangs, just know that BANGS are definately in and they make you look a tad bit hotter!!!

Tila Tequila and Perez Hilton got into a quarrel via Twitter after Tila tweeted about how sad she was over the death of her fiance, the Johnson and Johnson heiress. Perez said that Tila was using the death to get attention.

She Can Sing!

Remember the chick Tiffany Evans who tweeted that Rihanna needed to be more cautious about the type of songs she chose. She was referring to the song "Russian Roulette." Rihanna went on a radio show in response to this and said that she wished Tiffany was put on mute. Tiffany went back on Twitter and apologized, saying that she was not sending a shot a Rihanna. She then tweeted, at least I can sing! WOW!! Well, here she proves that she really can!! GO Tiffany!!!

6 Major Players-N.O. Mayoral Race 2010

Ladies 1st..Will it be Nadine Ramsey??? This former Judge has been in Louisiana and New Orleans court system for a long time. She's received several awards and recognitions. She believes that New Orleans need to go in a new direction and she can take it there. She says this election gives the citizens an opportunity to elect a person that will not only diversify but will bring about unity amongst city officials. She believes the Leader of this city must have integrity, progressive thinking and focused efforts. She says that is what she brings to the table.

Didn't see too much of what her plans would be, but ok......

Will it be Mitch Landrieu??? This Democrat ran against our current Mayor and took the tail end of defeat, but he's yet again running to be Mayor of our great city. He says he 's running because he lives in New Orleans and loves the city soo much. He knows that the city needs better schools and safer streets and feels he is most qualified to get the job done. He has become the front runner in this race and is constantly being attacked by the competition. His family has been in New Orleans and Louisiana politics for a long time.

The question here is do we really want Louisiana politics as usual????

Will it be James Perry, the Democrat and Executive Director of The Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center. A Graduate of McMain senior High and Loyola University, Mr. Perry plans on rejuvenating New Orleans. His vision for New Orleans is to have Strong Leadership, Accountable Government, and Engaged Citizenry. He believes this will help to REBUILD New Orleans and make it a place that people want to be a part of.

As much as I want New Orleans to be rebuilt, I don't see anything in his vision statement that tells me how he will do it!!!! SMH

Will it be Troy Henry, the democrat who was born in the Lower 9th ward and now resides in New Orleans East? A graduate of St. Augustine High School, Stanford University and Carnagie-Mellon University of which he received dual Masters degrees, Troy became a corporate executive. He then went on to move back to New Orleans and open his own successful Consulting Company. His plans for New Orleans are to :

• • -Re-engineer city government to be more efficient and customer-focused
  • -Attract between 40,000 to 50,000 new jobs to the city
  • -Hire the most qualified police chief to make our streets and neighborhoods safer
  • -Eradicate blight and redeveloping neighborhoods
  • -Dedicate more dollars towards street and infrastructure repairs

Let's just Hope he's not another Nagin..Lords knows we don't need a repeat!!!

It was during my term that the TOPS program was developed. In 1997, he was appointed by the Mayor to the New Orleans Public Belt Commission. This past year, he was appointed by the Mayor to serve on the Orleans Parish Hospital Service District. He is a trustee for Crime stoppers.
He is a member of the New Orleans Business Council, and am Past Chairman of the Louisiana Chapter of Young President's Organization. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of his children's school and led the school's Katrina recovery efforts. He is a former member of the LSU Medical Foundation, the UNO Foundation, and the Tulane President's Council. He was the President of Holy Trinity Cathedral of New Orleans from 2004 to 2006. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National World War II Museum. ALL THIS MUMBO JUMBO and he still hasn't said what he will do to shape up the city!!!! He is well connected, yes, and a lot of people will benefit if he's elected..but will it be the normal citizans of New Orleans or will it be those who he's CONNECTED to?? All I hear him saying is he'll reopen charity hospital....UMMM..we've been surviving this long without Charity.

Will it be Rob Couhig, the conservative ? He vows to use these 4 conservative guild lines to run our city if he's chosen as Mayor: 1.)Will it make the city more livable 2.)will it make the city more affordable? 3.)How does it effect economic opportunity. 4.)Is it fair? He feels that by using this matrix, we can Attack the issue of crime and integrity in the police department; Battle blight and multi-million dollar budget deficits by resisting the short term easy out of raising taxes; and, Create jobs for everyone who wants to work. At least he has a PLAN.

The Church has Spoken!!!

Jay-Z has taken the charts by storm with his #1 hit featuring Alicia Keys entitled, "Empire State of Mind." In this particular song Jay-Z spews a line that says, "Jesus can't save you. Life starts when the "church" ends." The verse is mere poetry and if you know anything about metaphors, similes and justifications, you probably wouldn't take the line seriously after listening to the entire verse. But, with the line itself, Jay-Z has ruffled some feathers in the Christian community, a community filled with folks that actually buy his music. One Pastor in particular is Pastor Jamal H. Bryant, who has admitted to attending Jay-Z concerts and was a huge fan. In the video below, the Pastor calls out his once favorite rapper and lets him know that Jesus can save!!

I myself need more than Jamal Bryant to come out in order for me to be convinced, but, he is posting a huge point and it makes me feel some kind of way about Jay-Z's beliefs and what he's promoting to the masses. I'm afraid that if he doesn't come out and say that he isn't promoting SATAN that I might have to sell my 4th row ticket to his concert on the 25th. I mean JAY-Z, WHAT'S THE DEAL???

She was born December 12, 1985 and is an international SUPERMODEL, president, fashion magazine editor, fashion designer and actress amongst various other things. In 2006, she launched the non-profit organization called "White Carpet Christmas" in Las Angeles, and currently stands as President of that organization. She's appeared in several television shows, including Las Vegas, Without a Trace, C.S.I. New York, Scrubs, and ER, but her most outstanding performance was in the movie "If I had known I was a Genius" in 2007.

Jay-Z DEVIL WORSHIPER???

The above video was released last week. I actually think that the director did really good work, but the world is going crazy with the gruesome images that appear in the video. Everyone is questioning whether Jay-Z is a "Devil Worshiper" or not. WHY??? Well a series of videos were posted on YouTube associating Jay-Z with 2 different groups of people. The first group is the "Illuminati" and the second group is the "Free Masons." These 2 groups are supposed to be responsible for the "NEW WORLD ORDER" and are supposedly "Devil Worshipers." It has also been said that they're a secret society that control what goes on in the World. It's obvious Jay-z made this video to play off the devil talk. He is too wise and too cautious to be doing anything otherwise. I don't think he's a devil worshiper at all..DO YOU?????

"The Princess and the Frog"

I had to suggest that everyone New Orleans and beyond take their kids to see this movie! There is no place like a New Orleans setting, which makes this Disney film all the more enchanting. Not only is the setting important, but the Princess is Black!!! This really stands out to me, because Disney has been said to make racist films. "The Princess and the Frog" is far from racist though. It a tale of a 9th ward girl with big dreams who comes across a tourist that falls in love with the city. Through ups and downs and turning into frogs, they over come the EVIL which lies in the city by receiving help from other New Orleans Natives. Sounds like New Orleans life to me!!!! Go see it for yourself and see what you make of it!
